Bio
Adam Gormely embarked on his law enforcement journey in 1990 with the Maine Warden Service. Over the years, he patrolled in Kittery, Waterville, and Greenville, ultimately stepping into the role of Sergeant in 2006. His career advanced further in 2008 when he was promoted to Lieutenant, taking command of the state’s southernmost division, a position he held until his retirement in March 2021.
Adam contributed significantly to national executive committees throughout his career, gaining a comprehensive, nationwide perspective. Within the Warden Service, he took on numerous leadership roles, including Boating Law Administrator, Cadre, Field Training Officer, and Incident Commander with the Maine Warden Service Incident Command Team. Adam’s experience in managing and directing a variety of critical incidents has provided him with invaluable insights into their impact on officers.
Outside of his professional life, Adam enjoys spending quality time with his family. He cherishes hunting and fishing adventures with his three sons—Will, Jacob, and Ben—and his wife, Kim.

Bio
Abbe joined the Maine State Police in 1997 and fulfilled her dream of becoming a detective in 2003 and participated in hundreds of death investigations including homicides, child deaths, and suspicious deaths. Additionally, she conducted hundreds of investigations into child abuse and neglect, child sexual abuse, and all forms of sexual assault.
Abbe specialized in interviewing and interrogation as well as behavioral analysis and became a regular instructor for new officers and detectives in interviewing and interrogation, death investigations, and sexual assault
While in the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit, Abbe became the first detective to handle a human remains detection K9 and built a crime scene cadaver program for the Maine State Police. One of Abbe’s passions was working with K9s to locate the remains of victims or missing persons and bring them back to loved ones.
Detective Chabot ended her career in the southern criminal division of the Maine State Police. During her time there she was named 2020 Trooper of the Year.
