Active Shooter Response Training
Prepare, Run Hide SURVIVE– a workplace violence response plan training
Active Shooter Response training is an essential resource for employers and employees alike in preparing for the possibility of an active threat or mass casualty incident. This comprehensive training covers a range of critical topics, including the history of such incidents, risk factors and motives, situational awareness, response guidelines, communication, and pre-planning.
Participants will engage in interactive video presentations and tabletop exercises, which are invaluable in developing practical skills and strategies for responding to such situations. Additionally, the program includes an emergency first aid overview, a thorough explanation of Standard Response Protocols, 911 procedures, first responders, evacuation procedures, sheltering in place, cover vs. concealment, medical resources and self-treatment, self-protection, and liability considerations. We train from a trauma-informed perspective designed at empowering participants in AND out of the workplace to help them understand their power and abilities.
The four-hour program is designed to focus on the employee and management roles from nationally certified instructors who are trauma-sensitive and understand training in light of neurodiversity and diverse cultural markers. We have made an ideal resource for employers who are working with local resources to develop plans before an incident takes place. Participants will leave the training with a deep understanding of the potential risks associated with active threats and mass casualty incidents, as well as the skills and strategies needed to respond effectively and protect themselves and others.
Our training is a very low stress approach to preparedness and situational awareness designed to maximize learning and eliminate anxiety.
